IMF Rejects Romania's Plan To Lower VAT On Food, Introduce Progressive Taxation – Sources

The International Monetary Fund, the European Commission and the World Bank told the Romanian Parliament's committee for budget and finance that, for the time being, they do not agree with reducing VAT on basic foods or progressive income taxation, according to sources on the committee.
