Labor Ministry Disagrees With The Amending Of The Labor Code

Although the Parliament is debating several draft laws for amending the Labor Code, the Labor Ministry disagrees with this measure, according to Eduard Corjescu, head of the Legal Department of Labor Ministry.

“The Labor Ministry has not supported any of them (draft laws for amending the Labor Code – e.n.) (…) The legislative calendar of the ministry and the government’s working plan do not include the amending of the Labor Code! We believe it takes a stable normative framework, that would bring confidence to investors and social partners, instead of creating legislation every year (…),” Corjescu stated. All EU States To Introduce Unique Code For Medicines, In 2017 Most Likely

All EU states will introduce a unique code for medicines, most likely in 2017, targeting to avoid counterfeit pharmaceutical products, accordion to Marius Tanasa, vice-president of the National Medicine Agency.

"Medicines will have a unique code, and, based on scanning, pharmacies will find out whether the specific medicine was already sold in a different location. The code will be unique and the system will be unique in the entire European Union. In other words, when somebody is copying the code, the pharmacy scanning shows that the medicine has already been sold in another location and should be no longer sold," Tanasa said.

The system will most likely be adopted in 2017, as the EU directive which came into force in 2013 has a four-year term for implementation. (Romania Libera)
