Retailers Halved Headcount per 100 Sqm in 2008-2018

The major retail chains have improved efficiency of their operations over the past decade so the average number of employees per 100 square meters of modern retail space dropped to 2.6 last year, compared with more than 4 a decade ago, according to ZF’s calculations.
