Weekly Export Risk Outlook, April 17

04.17.2014 ZF English

Romania's economic growth will remain modest this year, easing slightly to 3% from 3.5% in 2012, according to Euler Hermes' latest export risk outlook.

Romania's economy rebounded in 2012, driven by exports while domestic demand weakened, Euler Hermes noted in this week's risk outlook report.

On a separate note, the analysis notes a rebound in US retail sales, in particular in the auto sector.

Despite weaker GDP figures for the first quarter, Euler Hermes analysts say China is still on the path for a 7.5% economic growth, if public spending remains high.
