Weekly Export Risk Outlook, December 4

12.05.2014 ZF English

Italy became the laggard of the euro-zone in terms of economic growth, after a second consecutive quarter of GDP contraction, Euler Hermes noted in its latest Weekly Export Risk Outlook report.

Italy and Cyprus were the only two EU economies that registered a contraction for the second quarter in a a row, Euler Hermes analysts wrote in this week's report.

On the other hand, Greece's economy increased for the third consecutive quarter, after falling for 18 consecutive periods, but the positive economic momentum could be altered by the current tough negotiations about the bailout exit.
