Alpha Bank Branches Out Into Real Estate Development

Alpha Bank, a top ten lender in Romania by assets, has set up its own real estate division to develop residential projects. The bank is thus trying to recoup some of the money invested in such projects during the boom days, but apartment prices have since dropped 40% to 50%.
