Banks Sold EUR700M Bad Loans To Debt Collectors In 2011

Bankers sold non-performing loans worth EUR684 million in 2011 to firms specializing in debt collection, with most transactions being reported between September and December, as many banks sought to end the year with as clean portfolios as possible, according to the Management Association of Commercial Liabilities (AMCC).
