Energy Rose Invests EUR10M In 6-MW Wind Project In SE Romania

Israeli-owned Energy Rose on Wednesday said it will build its first wind farm in Romania, with an investment of EUR10 million for an installed capacity of 6 MW.

The company plans to build two or three such plants in Romania, with the second project set to start by the end of this year, Energy Rose general manager Boaz Peled told a news conference.

The investment is 80% (EUR8 million) financed by UniCredit Leasing.

Energy Rose builds wind farms mainly in Romania and Poland, planning an overall installed capacity of 250 MW by 2016.

The company's first Romanian project, located in Casimcea, in the southeastern part of the country, will produce an annual 21,000 MWh, supplying 5,000 households.
