Radu Gratian Ghetea, who is due to retire from his position as CEC Bank president after eight years, says the most difficult moment of his entire 43-year career in the banking sector was the announcement of Romania’s default in 1981, when he was working for Banca Romana de Comert Exterior (Romanian Foreign Trade Bank).
