Innova Capital Names New CEO At Provus, Romcard

Polish investment fund Innova Capital on Wednesday announced the appointment of Utku Ogrendil as chief executive officer of Romanian firms Romcard and Provus Service Provider, which the fund took over in January.

Polish investment fund Innova Capital on Wednesday announced the appointment of Utku Ogrendil as chief executive officer of Romanian firms Romcard and Provus Service Provider, which the fund took over in January.

Ogrendil is a former vice-president in charge with retail, cards and alternative channels at Credit Europe Bank. He has an 11-year background in Romanian banking system.

Provus and Romcard are the largest local card processors and card transaction operators.

The two companies manage over 1,500 ATMs and more than 5,000 POS, including virtual ones.

Innova Capital announced in January the purchase of 96% in card processor Provus Services Provider and its subsidiary Romcard, from Turkven Private Equity and a consortium of Turkish investors.
