Insurers Underwrote Premiums Of RON2.1B In 1Q, Paid Damages Worth RON1.3B

Romanian insurers paid damages of 1.3 billion lei (EUR0.3 billion) in the first quarter of 2012, up 3.12% on the year, while underwritten premiums dropped 1.8% to RON2.13 billion, according to the country’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF).
