Interest Rates For Mortgage Loans In Lei Slide To Nearly 5%

The average effective interest rate of Romanian currency-denominated mortgage loans hit an all-time low of 5.2% per year in July, half the level of three years ago, when banks sold only euro-denominated loans and interest rates of leu loans seemed to be well anchored in two-digit levels.
