Marius Dorner, Citibank: Banks Engage In Fierce Battle For Clients

Banks are engaging in fierce battles for clients, but the quality of the offers is the problem, Marius Dorner, Citibank CEO, Big Companies Department, told ZF Bankers Summit’15.

“Banks are looking for a certain risk level, while part of the demand comes with higher risks than the banks want. It is an issue of the lending offer,” Dorner said.

According to Dorner, in Romania, the number of good and big clients is very low, thus, lenders should know how to make the difference, by products, flexibility, understanding the client, which should come from the bank’s employees.

Citibank focuses on clients in industrial production, IT, telecom sectors.
