Ten years after the crisis, Misu Negritoiu, then chief executive officer of ING Romania, said on ZF Live he “understood” the decisions of Romania’s central bank governor Mugur Isarescu at the time and his stance, after having been in a supervisory position himself during his three-year stint at the helm of Romania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF).
