Romania Sells RON300M 6-Month T-Bills At Record Low Yield

08.13.2015 By Bogdan Neagu

Romania’s Finance Ministry Thursday sold a planned 300 million lei (EUR68 million) in 6-month treasury bills, with the average yield falling to an all-time low of 1.08%.

Book orders amounted to RON1.48 billion, a bid-to-cover ratio of almost 5, but the ministry sold only the targeted amount. The maximum accepted yield was 1. 1%, central bank data showed.

The yield was lower than 1.21% at a similar auction in July, when the ministry last sold six-month paper.

So far in 2015, the ministry raised about RON21.6 billion at debt auctions on local market.
