Romania Starts 2016 With Lowest Leu Loan Cost Ever

The year 2016 came with a first for the post-communist interbank market in Romania: the three-month ROBOR, used as a reference for the cost of leu loans fell to the all-time low of 0.98% per annum on Wednesday. This is the first time ever when the leu loan costs dropped to less than 1% per annum.
