Alro Switches To RON170M Loss In 2012 On Higher Costs

Romania’s Alro Slatina (ALR.RO), the largest aluminum smelter in southeast Europe, Thursday said it has switched to a loss of 170 million lei (EUR38.9 million) in 2012, versus profit a year earlier, hurt by higher electricity costs and declining demand.
