Ameropa Grains Swings To RON7.8M Profit In ‘10

Grains wholesaler Ameropa Grains Constanta (CCRL.RO), former Comcereal, switched to a net profit of 7.78 million lei (EUR1.9 million) in 2010, from a loss of RON7.3 million in 2009, according to financial results issued Wednesday.

Sales rose 59% on the year in 2010, to RON218.6 million, from RON137.2 million.

Revenue rose 60% to RON229.7 million, while expenditure rose 46% to RON219.9 million.

Comcereal Constanta changed name to Ameropa Grains in February, taking the name of Swiss Ameropa, which holds a 96% stake. Privatization authority AVAS retained a 1% stake in Ameropa Grains.
