Amid European Mayhem, Bucharest Bourse GM Pins Hopes On Transelectrica Offer

Valentin Ionescu, the general manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the main bourse operator on the Romanian capital market, is still hoping the government will put 15% in Transelectrica (TEL.RO) up for sale this year, even though European financial markets are shaking under the pressure of the debt crisis and investors are seeking protection, fearing a Greek default.
