Bucharest Shares Slightly Down In Early Trade, SIFs Inch Up

Bucharest-listed shares were down after the first hour of Tuesday's trading session, while the investment funds were still in green territory, in a quiet market.

At around GMT0758, the Bucharest Stock Exchange's composite index BET-C was down 0.44% from Monday's closing level, while the blue-chip index BET was losing 0.47%.

BET-FI, the index that tracks investment fund Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and the five regional investment funds SIFs, was up a mere 0.1%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT was down 0.29%, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG was falling by similar amount.

The bourse's total traded value amounted to 4.6 million lei (EUR1.1 million) at around GMT0758.

Fondul Proprietatea was leading the trades, as usual, followed by Transelectrica (TEL.RO) and the SIFs. (EUR1=RON4.1039)
