Bucharest Stocks Close Down, Investors Focus On Fondul Proprietatea

The Bucharest stock market closed down Tuesday, amid traded value worth RON35.62 million (EUR7.95 million), while investors focused on trades with Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), which accounted for almost half of the traded value.

The Bucharest bourse’s main index BET was down 58.73 points, or 0.81%, at 7.235,14, while BET Plus closed down 0.73%, or 7.81 points to 1.065,49. Total return index BET-TR was up 0.85%, at 8.027,79.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds SIFs, closed down 0.94% at 29.977,34.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK finished the session at 1.352,91, down 0.15% on the day, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG closed flat at 692.20.

The wider BET-XT closed down 0.57% at 655.83. (EUR1=RON4.4807)
