Bucharest Stocks Close Higher, Eyes on Electrica, Petrom, Fondul Proprietatea

The Bucharest stock market closed higher Wednesday, amid traded value worth RON26.79 million (EUR6.02 million), while investors focused on trades with Electrica (EL.RO), OMV Petrom (SNP.RO), and Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO).

The Bucharest bourse’s main index BET was up 14.43 points, or 0.19%, at 7.457,70, while BET Plus closed up 0.21%, or 2.26 points to 1.096,72. Total return index BET-TR was up 0.2%, at 8.143,30.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds SIFs, closed down 0.58% at 31.050,23.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK finished the session at 1.386,63, up 0.22% on the day, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG closed up 0.43% at 700.36.

The wider BET-XT closed up 0.12% at 673.35. (EUR1=RON4.445)
