Bucharest Stocks Close Higher, Fondul Proprietatea Boosts Traded Value

The Bucharest stock market closed higher Monday, amid traded value worth RON22.25 million (EUR4.96 million), while investors focused on trades with Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), OMV Petrom (SNP.RO), and Banca Transilvania (TLV.RO).

The Bucharest bourse’s main index BET was up 15.54 points, or 0.21%, at 7.300,95, while BET Plus closed up 0.14%, or 1.45 points to 1.074,29. Total return index BET-TR was up 0.21%, at 7.968,11.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds SIFs, closed down 0.41% at 30.240,16.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK finished the session at 1.354,84, up 0.08% on the day, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG closed up 0.38% at 692.32.

The wider BET-XT closed up 0.03% at 660.04. (EUR1=RON4.483)
