Bucharest Stocks Close Up, Eyes On Fondul Proprietatea

The Bucharest stock market closed higher Wednesday, amid traded value worth RON37.95 million (EUR8.48 million), while investors focused again on trades with Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), which accounted for more than half of the traded value.

The Bucharest bourse’s main index BET was up 22.5 points, or 0.31%, at 7.250,06, while BET Plus closed up 0.33%, or 3.55 points to 1.067,96. Total return index BET-TR was up 0.3%, at 8.042,93.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds SIFs, closed down 0.33% at 29.873,71.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK finished the session at 1.350,89, down 0.11% on the day, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG closed up 0.83% at 696.81.

The wider BET-XT closed up 0.18% at 656.53. (EUR1=RON4.4727)
