Bucharest Stocks Close Up, Supported By Fondul Proprietatea, Bank Stocks

The Bucharest stock market closed higher Thursday, amid traded value worth RON24.28 million (EUR5.44 million), while investors focused on trades with Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), Banca Transilvania (TLV.RO), and BRD- Groupe Societe Generale (BRD.RO).

The Bucharest bourse’s main index BET was up 10.96 points, or 0.15%, at 7.261,02, while BET Plus closed up 0.08%, or 0.86 points to 1.068,82. Total return index BET-TR was up 0.14%, at 8.053,99.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds SIFs, closed down 0.43% at 29.744,22.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK finished the session at 1.354,70, up 0.28% on the day, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG closed up 0.24% at 698.49.

The wider BET-XT closed up 0.14% at 657.45. (EUR1=RON4.4563)
