Bucharest Stocks End Mixed On Low Traded Values

The Bucharest stock market ended slightly changed Tuesday, with OMV Petrom (SNP.RO) and Banca Carpatica (BCC.RO) losing more than 1%, while financial stocks were mostly in green.

BET lost 14.91 points, or 0.25%, to close at 5,916.44, while composite index BET-C was up 4.43, or 0.14%, to 3,115.19.

Petrom closed 0.4435 lei (EUR0.1) per share, down 1.03% on the day, while Banca Carpatica lost 1.31% to RON0.0676 per share.

On the other hand, Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) shares closed up 0.14%, at RON0.723, slightly off an all-time high of RON0.728 touched earlier in the day. Transgaz closed up 1.02%, while BRD (BRD.RO) rose 0.23%, but Banca Transilvania (TLV.

RO) fell 1.06%.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds (SIFs), closed at 26,509.9 points, up 0.3% on the day.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK was down a mere 0.03%, while BET-XT lost 0.12%.

On the other hand, energy stocks tracker BET-NG rose 0.56%, helped by good performances of Dafora (DAFR.RO), which closed up 9.67%, and Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC.RO), up 2.95%.

Traded values were low, with share transfers reaching RON19.7 million (EUR4.4 million), which was still 50% higher on the day. (EUR1=RON4.4684)
