Bucharest Stocks End Mixed On Low Traded Values

The Bucharest stock market closed little changed after staying in red for most of Wednesday session, but the transferred volumes were reduced.

The bourse’s main index BET closed up 10.72 points, or 0.17%, at 6,460.13, but general index BET-C was down 0.14%, at 3,259.11 points.

Among the best traded stocks, Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) was down 0.2%, while both Romgaz (SNG.RO) and Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO) fell more than 0.5%. On the other hand, Transgaz (TGN.RO) rose 0.6% and BRD (BRD.RO) went up 1%.

BET-FI closed up 15.17 points, or 0.05%, at 27,898.93, following SIF Oltenia’s (SIF5.RO) 1.9% increase. SIF Moldova (SIF2.

RO) gained 0.7%, but the other three regional investment funds (SIFs) were in negative territory.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK went up 0.17%, while exteneded blue-chip index BET-XT closed 0.15% higher. Energy stocks tracker BET-NG inched down 0.04%.

The bourse’s traded value reached just 15.6 million lei (EUR3.5 million), down 45% compared to Tuesday levels. Fondul Proprietatea, Romgaz and Transgaz were the most traded issuers in Bucharest (EUR1=RON4.4635)
