Bucharest Stocks Inch Down, On Reduced Trading Values

The Bucharest stock market went slightly down Monday morning, as the traded values continued to stay very low.

The BET index was down 0.18% at around 10:30 local time (GMT0730), while composite index BET-C was declining 0.07%.

BET-FI, which tracks the five regional investment funds (SIFs) and Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), was up 0.34%, with both SIF Muntenia (SIF4.RO) and SIF Moldova (SIF2.RO) gaining 0.7%.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK was down 0.15%, while BET-XT inched 0.06% lower. Energy stocks tracker BET-NG was down a mere 0.03%.

The traded values were extremely low almost 30 minutes since the opening bell, with share transfers reaching just 0.18 million lei (EUR0.04 million).
