Bucharest Stocks Inch Lower, On Sinking Interest

The Bucharest stock market inched lower Thursday morning, as the interest for trading was almost nonexistent.

At 10:35 local time (GMT0835), the Bucharest bourse’s BET index was down a mere 0.02% from Wednesday closing level, while composite index was down 0.17%.

Investment fund tracker BET-FI was losing 0.21%, and BET-XT inched 0.05% lower.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK was down 0.17%, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG was falling 0.05%.

The traded value reached just 0.37 million lei (EUR0.08 million), with few stocks gaining some meaningful transactions.
