Bucharest Stocks Open Down On Low Traded Values

The Bucharest stock exchange was slightly down Monday morning, on very low interest for trading.

At around 11:00 local time (GMT0800), the bourse’s BET index was down 0.37% from Friday closing level, while composite index traded down 0.42%.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and the five regional investment funds (SIFs), inched 0.03% lower, while the extended blue-chip index BET-XT was down 0.24%.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK was down a mere 0.06%, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG was 0.05% lower.

Traded values were reduced as in the previous meetings, barely above 0.5 million lei (EUR0.12 million) after one hour of the session.
