Bucharest Stocks Slightly Down In Early Trade, Proprietatea Leads Charts

The Bucharest stock market was slightly down in a quiet market Friday morning, with Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) dominating again the trading charts.

The Bucharest bourse’s BET index was down 0.15% at around 10:31 local time (GMT0831), while composite index BET-C was down 0.14%.

Proprietatea inched down 0.2%, Banca Transilvania (TLV.RO) and Transelectrica (TEL.RO) were both losing 0.3%.

Investment fund tracker BET-FI was down 0.34%, as SIF Muntenia (SIF4.RO) and SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO) added their losses of 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively, to Proprietatea’s decline. On the other hand, SIF Moldova (SIF2.RO) traded 0.3% higher.

Benchmark index BET-BK was losing 0.11% and extended blue-chip index BET-XT was down 0.23%.

Energy sector index BET-NG was down a mere 0.02%.

The bourse’s total traded value was 1.3 million lei (EUR0.3 million) at around 10:31, with RON0.8 million coming from transactions with the shares of Fondul Proprietatea. (EUR1=RON4.3975)
