Bucharest Stocks Slightly Up In Early Trade On Low Values

The Bucharest stock exchange rose slightly Monday morning, but the interest for trading was reduced.

The Bucharest bourse’s BET index was up 0.2% at around 11:52 local time, while composite index inched 0.07% higher.

BET-FI, which tracks Fondul Proprietatea and the five regional investment funds (SIFs), was up 0.17%.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK was up 0.31%, while energy stocks tracker BET-NG was 0.08% higher.

The traded values were very low in the last trading day of the year, with share transfers barely reaching 3.3 million lei (EUR0.7 million) after almost two hours of the session. (EUR1=RON4.4597)
