Bucharest Stocks Slightly Up On Very Low Traded Values

The Bucharest stock exchange inched higher Monday morning, but the interest for trading was extremely reduced.

At around 10:30 local time (GMT0830), the Bucharest bourse’s BET index was up 0.2%, while composite index BET-C traded 0.14% higher.

Investment fund tracker BET-FI was losing 0.12%, as SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1.RO) traded 0.5% lower, while Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO) were both down 0.2%.

Bucharest benchmark index BET-BK inched up 0.1%, while extended blue-chip index BET-XT was up 0.14%. Energy stocks tracker BET-NG was up a mere 0.07%.

The bourse’s turnover was extremely reduced, as share transfers barely reached 0.5 million lei (EUR0.1 million) after 30 minutes of trading.
