Carbochim Revenue Up 33% To RON8.4M In First Quarter

Romanian maker of abrasive products Carbochim (CBC.RO) posted revenue of 8.4 million lei (EUR2 million) in the first quarter, up 33% from RON6.3 million in the same period a year ago, the company said in its financial report Monday.

The company's net profit jumped from RON19,000 to RON800,000, Carbochim said in the report.

Overall expenditure rose 19% on the year to RON7.5 million.

Carbochim's sales stood at RON7.3 million in January to March, 21% higher than RON6 million in the same period of 2010.
