EBRD Wants To See A Private Company Listing In Bucharest Soon

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, an international financial institution with EUR7 billion worth of investments in Romania and a minority stakeholder in the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), wants to see a listing from the private sector as the only way the local bourse can prove it is a viable long-term funding option for the corporate sector, and not only for the state, which has been behind the listings of the past seven years.
