Five Years After Floating Transelectrica, State Pledges To Keep To Listing Scheme

The listing of Transelectrica (TEL.RO), in September 2006, was the first major stock offering the Romanian government carried out on the Bucharest stock exchange. In the five years since then, the state has listed just one other company, Transgaz (TGN.RO) in 2007. Despite the failed OMV Petrom (SNP.RO) offering in July, state representatives say they will take the listing program further, and the first on the list is the same Transelectrica, where the government plans to sell another 15% by yearend.
