Leu Extends Gains Vs Euro, Exchange Rate At 4.4503

The Romanian leu widened its earlier gains versus the euro by midday Tuesday, amid growing demand for foreign currency, and the central bank’s reference strengthened to 4.4503 units, from a three-week low of 4.4676 units a day earlier.
