The Bucharest bourse closed Friday below par, on lowered trading values, while four of the five regional investment funds, or SIFs, managed to stay in the green.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange's composite index BET-C closed down 0.56%, to 3,532.67, while 10-share blue-chip tracker BET declined 0.21%, to 5,933.33.

The evolution of both indexes was influenced by the evolutions of bourse operator BVB (BVB.RO) - down 1.95%, and of lender BRD-Groupe Societe Generale (BRD.RO) - down 1.99%, which could not be countered by the 1.93% increase in the shares of lender Banca Transilvania (TLV.

RO).

BET-FI, the index tracking investment fund Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and the SIFs, rose 0.41% on the day, to 26,068.47, mostly helped by SIF Moldova (SIF2.RO), which rose 2.14% on the day, to 1.405 lei (EUR1=RON4.0966).

Wider blue-chip tracker BET-XT, which also includes the SIFs, inched up 0.08%, to 554.02, while the energy companies index, BET-NG, rose 0.11%, to 833.12.

Trades unfolded Friday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange amounted to RON43.21 million, lower than the RON49.48 million value seen Thursday.

The Proprietatea fund maintained its position as top-traded issuer. Its shares fell 0.85% on the day, to RON0.586, on a traded value of RON18.95 million.

SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO) was the second-top traded issuer. Its shares were the subject of trades worth a total RON5.28 million. The fund's stock dropped 0.19% on the day, to RON1.587.

Another popular issuer Friday was oil company OMV Petrom (SNP.RO), up 0.52% to RON0.428.
