SIFs Might Be Allowed To Buy Each Other’s Stock

The regional investment funds (SIF) created in the early nineties when they took over 30% of the Romania’s economy have requested the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) to lift the restrictions that prevent them from buying stake in each other. A decision on their request might be made soon, market sources familiar with the talks said.
