State Readies To Bid Adieu To Fondul Proprietatea

Once the Romanian state uses up the stake it has left in Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) on compensations, which is expected to happen by yearend, the influence of the Fund’s manager, U.S. group Franklin Templeton, will soar, as it is supported by a group of major shareholders, and the shaping up of a new pole of influence is currently difficult given the high dispersion of the shareholding structure.
