Teraplast Names Stefan Bucataru As General Manager

Plastic systems maker Teraplast (TRP.RO) has appointed Stefan Bucataru as general manager starting May 2, replacing Florin Radu Urite, who resigned citing personal reasons.

Plastic systems maker Teraplast (TRP.RO) has appointed Stefan Bucataru as general manager starting May 2, replacing Florin Radu Urite, who resigned citing personal reasons.

The new chief will have a one-year mandate.

Stefan Bucataru, 45, is the owner and manager of consultancy firm Veldtster Management & Consulting. Prior to going into business on his own, Bucataru was investment director at private equity firm Global Finance.

Urite has been a part of the Teraplast team since 1996, and in 2008 he was appointed general manager.

The company has a share capital of 29.7 million lei (EUR7.3 million), divided into 297.8 million shares with a face value of RON0.1.

Teraplast is part of the Teraplast group, which also includes the companies Politub and Plastsistem.

The company's largest shareholders are Dorel Goia (34.2%), SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1.RO - 10.8%) and managing board president Emanoil Viciu (10.15%).

Teraplast shares were trading mid-session Thursday at RON0.55, up 8.91% on the day. (EUR1=RON4.076)
