Akzo Nobel Coatings Eyes 20% Rise In 2011 Romania Sales, To RON29M

Akzo Nobel Coatings, part of the global paint market leader Akzo Nobel, expects Romanian sales to rise 20% in 2011, from 29 million lei (EUR7 million) a year before, based on network expansion and promotional activities, company market manager Marius Pintea said Friday.

Akzo Nobel Coatings launched Friday its first showroom in Romania, following an investment of EUR400,000.

The company official added Akzo Nobel Coatings plans to open another 2-3 units this year, bringing its nationwide network to 10 units by the end of next year.

Akzo Nobel is active in over 80 states worldwide, with more than 50,000 employees. (EUR1=RON4.1315)
