The Romanian Regional Development and Tourism Ministry will be allotted extra 30 million lei (EUR1=RON4.0858) needed for consultancy services for the National Infrastructure Development Program, according to a Government decision drafted by the ministry.

According to the draft act, the money will be ensured from the budget reserve fund for 2011.

The ministry said in an explanatory note the institution needs extra money to buy consultancy and demolition services to carry out the infrastructure development program.

The institution's 2011 budget amounts to RON2.3 billion.

Tourism Minister Elena Udrea said last week the ministry launched an open auction to award contracts worth about RON569 million, VAT excluded, to restore over 300 kilometers of county and local interest roads in the northeastern counties of Botosani and Suceava. The investment is included in the infrastructure development program.

The Government will run the program between 2011 and 2020. It is managed by the Tourism Ministry and the Environment Ministry.
