Otopeni To Auction Off Infrastructure Works For EUR173M

The local authorities of Otopeni, Ilfov County, want to contract an infrastructure project worth an estimated 710.8 million lei (EUR173 million) for road modernization and the extension of the city's water supply, sewerage and electricity networks.

The contract will run for seven years, says an Otopeni Town Hall announcement. The project's value is divided between its components as follows (the amounts do not include VAT):
- RON171.4 million - road modernization;
- RON52.4 million - water network expansion;
- RON352.6 million - sewerage expansion;
- RON134.1 million - electricity network expansion.

Proiectul va fi finanţat de la bugetul local şi alte surse legal constituite, dar ofertantul trebuie să asigure finanţarea pe perioada de execuţie din surse proprii, atrase sau mixte.

The project will be financed by the local budget and other sources, but the winning supplier must fund the work from its own sources during the run of the contract.

The contract will be awarded through an open tender. The price makes up 50% of the award criteria, financing - 20%, technical score - 30%.

Offers or participation requests may be submitted by July 1. (EUR1=RON4.1054)
