Where Profits Of State-Run Energy Companies Go

The announcements of state-run companies’ purchasing intentions on the website of the electronic public procurement system (SEAP) reveal the more or less justified expenses they are willing to make. Even though experts say that such announcements do not provide real data about the efficiency of spending in state-run companies, the profit margins at which many of them operate speak volumes. Transelectrica, for instance, has the lowest profit margin of the European companies holding electricity or gas transmission monopolies.
