The publishing by Fondul Proprietatea of state-controlled companies’ reports reveals a rise in salary costs and in the number of employees. The ten largest state-owned companies in the energy sector spent almost 2 billion lei (EUR0.47 billion) on wages in 2010, 6.4% more than in 2009, and hired people in a year when the economy fell 1.3%.
