Egis 1Q Sales In Romania Up 2% To EUR4.2M

Hungary’s pharmaceutical company Egis Wednesday reported first quarter sales of EUR4.22 million in Romania, up 2% on the year, according to the company’s financial report.

Egis said total sales in Romania rose 6% on the year to EUR7.95 million in the first six months of the 2010/2011 business year.

Group-wide, Egis reported total sales of EUR119.5 million in the first quarter and a net profit of EUR17 million.

The results are consolidated, unaudited and computed under IFRS.
