Romanian Airline Tarom Appoints New Chief

Romanian state-run airline operator Tarom’s sales and marketing director Gabriela Bordea on Friday took the position of general manager, replacing Ruxandra Brutaru, who resigned in March.

Romanian state-run airline operator Tarom's sales and marketing director Gabriela Bordea on Friday took the position of general manager, replacing Ruxandra Brutaru, who resigned in March.

Transport minister Anca Boagiu decided the appointment mid-March, the company said in a news release Friday.

Bordea has been with Tarom since 1973. Between 2007 and 2009, Bordea headed the sales department, while in 2009 she was appointed as marketing and sales director.

Brutaru resigned her position in March, citing personal reasons.
