(P) ‘We are far stronger than we imagine’ – best lesson that sports taught me

My career journey started when I was a junior, as a fitness trainer, winning national and international awards such as National Champion, Balkan Champion, Miss Fitness Romania and Semifinalist at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships.

My passion towards business and entrepreneurship started in my early 20s, while I was still a student getting ready to graduate university. I teamed up with my husband to start our first company, Arte Grup Print, bringing together end customers and printing houses.

However, my passion for sports carried on with co-organizing the International Sports Dance Championships that took place in Bucharest, Romania, which was widely broadcasted on TV.

I believe that the strength, courage, and ambition to move forward lies within each one of us. As a Development Director I took the risk of getting the company into a new business challenge – we purchased our first complete line of printing and producing labels for plastic packages, from the USA. We were so proud to see the Romanian flag displayed in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the headquarter building of the American company from which we bought the printing and production line. The feeling was somehow similar with the one I got in sports competitions.

And so we became the first company in Romania at that time, 22 years ago, manufacturing roll fed labels, for which we implemented the strict requirements imposed by the certification of the food quality and safety system - BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging materials.

Arte Grup Print is currently one of the most prestigious printing houses in Romania as well as a leading label manufacturer and a major supplier in the beverage industry in Europe, producing innovative packaging and labels that enhance the product’s value, safety and trust. Our company achieved all of these by using high-performance technology implemented by a perfectly integrated team.

I strongly believe in teamwork, professionalism and efficiency. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues from Arte Grup Print for their continuous involvement, responsibility, positive vibe they spread all around, as well as for trusting in our purpose and for understanding that „impossible” is actually achievable.  

If I were to pass on a lesson learned so far as an entrepreneur is that keeping our hope and passion up is essential. This is the way to keep moving forward. We are far stronger than we can imagine. Our experience, enthusiasm and trust in what we do will lead us to achieve the results we dream about.
