INS: Romania Mar Adjusted Construction Works -1.5% On Year

Romania's adjusted construction output fell 1.5% on the year in March, on decreases in all sectors, the country's statistics institute said Friday.

First quarter adjusted construction output dropped 4.7% on the year.

In data adjusted for number of working days and seasonal factors, non-residential construction works dropped 1.2% on the year in March, civil engineering works rose 18.1%, while residential building works were down 30.7%.

New construction works decreased 3.5% on the year in March, while maintenance and repair works inched up 0.1%. Mass restoration works rose 9.4% in March compared with the year-earlier month.

Compared with February, the adjusted construction output fell 1.8%.

Non-residential construction works dropped 10.8% on the month in March, residential works were down 9.1%, and civil engineering works rose 8.8%.
